The Studio…

Let us introduce to you all a new recording studio called SongMachine.

It is the brainchild of well known songwriter/musician Corey Stewart plus a couple of very highly trained and experienced former Australian Broadcasting Corporation senior audio engineers/producers Sandy Mathewson and Graham Dicker.

Collectively both Sandy and Graham have recorded and produced over 1000 CDs for commercial release; a track record that would be hard to find anywhere and among the three of us, we have either performed, recorded with or engineered the “who’s who” of the music and entertainment industry.

Names such as…

  • Elton John
  • Stephane Grappelli
  • John Farnham
  • James Morrison
  • Cleo Lane
  • Paul Kelly
  • Dame Kiri Takanawa
  • Tommy Emmanuel
  • James Morrison
  • Don Burrows
  • Kamahl
  • George Gola
  • Kate Ceberano
  • GANGgajang
  • Geoffrey Stapleton
  • Tim Finn
  • Renee Geyer
  • Phil Ceberano
  • Joe Camilleri

When you experience a session at SongMachine, you will understand why having engineers of this calibre makes all the sense in the world.

The whole recording process becomes a smooth and a pleasant one and as a result, what you achieve at the end of the day will be far in excess of anything you could’ve achieved in a home recording studio.

So, from all of us here at SongMachine, we look forward to making sweet, beautiful music with you.

Sincerely,

Corey Stewart – Owner/Musician/Engineer/Producer
Sandy Mathewson – Engineer/Producer
Graham Dicker – Engineer/Producer/Technical Adviser

The Team…

Corey Stewart – Owner/Musician

As the founder of SongMachine, Corey Stewart brings a lifetime of experience as a musician, songwriter, and producer to the table.

With a keen ear for detail and a deep understanding of the creative process, Corey has built SongMachine to be a space where artists and creators can feel at home.

Whether he’s engineering your session, helping with production, or simply offering advice, Corey is passionate about helping others craft their best work.

His vision for SongMachine is simple: to provide a world-class space that nurtures creativity and collaboration.

Sandy Mathewson – Engineer/Producer

Sandy Mathewson is a versatile producer and engineer with a knack for capturing the essence of an artist’s sound.

With years of experience in a wide range of genres, from rock and pop to acoustic and electronic, Sandy knows how to get the best out of any artist.

His relaxed, easygoing style makes him a favourite among clients, but it’s his attention to detail and dedication to sonic excellence that sets him apart.

Whether you’re a first-time musician or a seasoned pro, Sandy’s expertise will help bring your project to life with clarity and precision.

Graham Dicker – Engineer/Producer/Tech Adviser

As well as being an experienced engineer/producer, Graham Dicker is SongMachine’s technical adviser and what Graham doesn’t know about music technology isn’t worth knowing. He is also known for his creative approach to sound design.

With a deep understanding of both traditional and modern recording techniques, Graham is able to create unique sonic landscapes that elevate any project.

He has a reputation for being both highly professional and incredibly approachable, ensuring that every session runs smoothly.

His passion for experimenting with new sounds and ideas makes him an invaluable part of the SongMachine team.

Charlie – Da Boss

Meet Charlie, the four-legged heartbeat of SongMachine. Officially, he’s our Chief Vibe Manager, making sure everyone stays calm, inspired, and slightly covered in fur.

Unofficially, he inspects snacks, guards the studio from rogue delivery drivers, and insists on mandatory stretch breaks for all concerned (usually disguised as belly rub sessions).

When he’s not supervising recording sessions from his favourite spot on the control room couch, you’ll find him greeting clients at the door with the same enthusiasm he reserves for dinner time.

Around here, if Charlie’s happy, everyone’s happy and that’s just how we like it.
